Salai Road - A different name of a Road, Salai Road as the Tamil word Salai means Road. No idea how did they name it!
It is an important road in the area which almost connects Ethamozhi and MaNakudy via Puthoor, MangaviLai, Nainaputhoor, PuthaLam., ect. is also nice to travel in this road as it has coconut farms both sides of the road and mostly it is parallel and few kilometers away from the seashore.
Naina Puthoor is a village on SalaiRoad. Here too couldn't guess the reason for the name. As far we know, Naina is a Telugu word means father. But there could be some other reason behind this!
When we used to walk for a long distance to relatives through this area/road, my mother showed us a roof/top of a small mandapam at ground level, may be 25 years back. It is called as "Man moozhki madam" or "Man mungi Madam". Any idea about this mandapam?
Seems there is some work done to bring it out now....
